Words can’t express how much we adore this beautiful city…! Walking through the streets of Florence feels like stepping into a living museum, surrounded by Renaissance art at every turn.
What makes it even more special? Everything is so walkable. You can go from admiring Michelangelo’s David to eating gelato by the Arno River in under ten minutes. It’s a dream for photographers, food lovers, art nerds, and anyone who enjoys just wandering. Love the vibe of the city – so chill and relaxed, and the locals are incredibly warm and welcoming. And not to mention..the food! From endless gelato shops to amazing Italian dishes, every meal makes us scream from the inside🥹
There are so many places we’d love to revisit and a few we missed this time, but one thing is for sure: Florence has a unique place in our hearts, and we’ll definitely be back in the future!

This was a chilled but art-filled 4-day Florence itinerary, full of the spots we loved, the dishes we couldn’t stop talking about, and a few things we’re already planning to come back for.
Day One: Hidden Passages, Masterpieces & Sunset Pizza
Palazzo Vecchio
We started off a tour (from GetYourGuide) at Palazzo Vecchio, a magnificent palace that encapsulates the city’s rich political and artistic history – Very unique experience walking a secret passage (back in the day) into the Palazzo Vecchio – our guide was very knowledgeable, and we really enjoyed the tour. After a 1.5hr tour, it’s time for our first gelato in Florence at Perche No! and first Scachat ta!
Florence tip: Book a skip-the-line tour on GetYourGuide, it saved us so much time!
Palazzo Vecchio: Skip-the-Line Entry and Secret Passage Tour

Uffizi Gallery
Probably one of the most popular spots in Florence and we love and enjoyed those masterpieces by Renaissance masters, but what we enjoyed the most is having coffee and cakes at Uffizi’s Café and enjoy those stunning views overlooking Piazza della Signoria (highly recommended!!)

Sunset Magic at Piazzale Michelgangelo
Grab a delicious pizza from I’PIZZACCHIERE and a local wine, then go to Piazzale Michelangelo. The golden hour view here is soooo stunning!

Day Two: Culture, Cinema & Rooftop Views
Riccardi Medici Palace
The Medici family was arguably one of the most influential forces behind the Renaissance. Visiting the Riccardi Medici Palace really feels like stepping back in time—this is the very place where Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo once walked. We highly recommend listening to Dr. Rocky Ruggiero’s podcast, Rebuilding the Renaissance, before your visit – to get a better idea of the city’s rich history.

Cinema Giunti Odeon
A unique bookstore and cinema featuring a historic café, very special vibe.
We watched Frozen and Moana there!

Legendary Sandwiches and Rooftop View
All’Antico Vinaio is known for its massive Italian sandwiches (scachatta), so good!
Finish off the night at B-Roof with a romantic view of the Duomo

Day Three: Architectural Wonders and Wine Adventures
Duomo, Bardini Garden and Mercato Centrale Market
Started at the iconic Duomo, Florence’s stunning cathedral that dominates the skyline. Then we walked to Bardini Garden; remember to grab a coffee at this hidden gem with spectacular city views.

Market and Gelato Experience
On our way to Mercato Centrale Market, we stopped at Gelateria La Carraia for a refreshing gelato. Then, go to the market and enjoy our lunch – we recommend trying the fresh Pasta Fresca.

Chianti Wine Tour
If you have time for a half day trip, make it this one. we booked a Chianti Winery Tour and taste some Chianti wine from one of Tuscany’s world-famous wine regions.

Day Four: Saying Goodbye with Food & Florence Views
Our final Florence meal at Trattoria Zà Zà – renowned for its amazing atmosphere and top-notch food. Before departing for Pisa, go grab a gelato from La Gelatiera – the perfect sweet goodbye to this incredible city.
